City at War by The Fictionist lyrics

These are the best I could do. These are the only lyrics on the web for this song as far as I know:

City at War by Fictionist

I’m a city at war.
Kids are gatherin’ in the street.
Crying justice as they raise their flag.
I think they’re crying for relief.

ah-ah

Uniforms flood the street.
Keep the angry youth at bay.
I watched the scene from high above.
I dont know who’s side to take.

I love you.
I’d fight to prove it.
I can’t escape this skin I’m living in,
no matter how hard I try to do it, to do it, to prove it.

Who can I trust,
when every arm that I know is flesh.

In myself, I see a father,
a brother, a sinner, son, and saint.
Please, don’t let my loved ones be the victims. x3
Don’t let me turn into the things I hate.

I love you.
I’d fight to prove it.
Well, I can’t escape this skin im living in,
no matter how hard i try to do it, to do it, to prove it.

ah-ah ah-ah-ah-ah-ah

I can’t escape this skin I’m living in,
no matter how hard I try to do it, to do it, to prove it.

instrumental
guitar solo

Please, don’t let my loved ones be the victims.
Please, don’t let my loved ones.
Please.

  1. This part was a tiny bit off, otherwise it was really good.
I have the physical CD with the lyrics on the cd insert.

    “Who can I trust?
When every arm that I know is flesh
In myself I see a father, a brother,
    a sinner, son, and saint”
