Scientific study confirms what I’ve independently come to realize

“Their work highlights the interplay of a brain region implicated in depression, the subgenual prefrontal cortex (sgPFC) and a brain network involved in reflection, sometimes called the default mode network (DMN). The DMN becomes activated when the brain’s task-oriented circuits are not engaged, i.e., during times of self-referential thought.”
Essentially, I’ll hate myself when I have nothing else to focus on. Give me a task and I’ll happily forget my self-defeatism. If you want me to stop ticcing, speak to me. Albeit, any communication runs the risk of referring my attention to a prior faux-pas that stings so harshly that I may cry in klazomaniacal coprolalia. If you don’t understand the psychological medical jargon, research it if you care.
